Middle School "Dance, Dance Revolution"

So I wanted, no needed to do a fundraiser to help support my 8th grade Tiger Singers Choir. I H-A-T-E, hate selling things so I decided the choir would host a Semi-Formal! In middle school every kid loooves to dance...well really it's more like a swaying social hour with intermittent grinding by a brave few. :0 So this summer I set a date with my Principal and planning began! In November decorations began coming together and I begged, borrowed, and bought lots of white lights! The day of I began decorating and the awesome Art teacher we have helped me put up lights and fabric coverings! After school it was crunch time and I pulled out all the stops! I was a mad decorating woman on a mission....specifically on a ladder to make 3 basketball goals beautiful!! And oh was it beautiful in that place when we finally turned off all the lights! So the dance began and 2 hours later ended without incident! The final fundraising total...$1,200 and some change!!!!!! That doesn't seem like alot, but for a school one-night only fundraiser it is amazing. We charged every kid $5 (choir members paid $3) and my sister Beth let us borrow her great camera so we could take dance photos for $1. Here are some great shots of the dance!
